AI Workforce Designer Bar

The natural language interface for creating and modifying your workforce structure.

Overview

The AI bar at the bottom of the Workforce Builder canvas lets you describe your team structure in plain English. The AI interprets your intent and makes the corresponding changes to the visual org chart.

Describe your workforce... e.g. 'A customer support team with a manager, 2 support reps, and a knowledge researcher'

What AI Can Do

The AI bar is designed for creating new workforces from scratch. Describe your team structure and the AI will generate a complete org chart with configured members.

Create Team from Scratch

Generate a complete workforce based on your description. The AI configures roles, reporting lines, system prompts, and tools for each member.

Examples:

  • "Build a sales team with a manager, 2 SDRs, and a researcher"
  • "Create a content team: editor, 2 writers, social media manager"
  • "I need a customer support department with 4 agents"
  • "A B2B sales team: 1 sales director, 2 SDRs who handle outreach, and 1 research analyst"

Clarification Wizard

When you describe a new team, the AI may ask follow-up questions to better configure each member. This is the "clarification wizard" flow.

1

Multi-Question Form

The AI presents 3-5 targeted questions about team goals, tools, approval policies, and communication style.

2

Suggested Answers

Each question has clickable suggestions plus a free-text option for custom responses.

3

Skip & Generate

Skip any question to use defaults. You can also skip the entire wizard to generate immediately.

4

Loading Screen

While generating, you'll see rotating tips about workforce features and best practices.

Effective Prompts

Good Examples
  • "Build a B2B sales team: 1 sales director who oversees pipeline, 2 SDRs who handle outreach and qualification, and 1 research analyst who gathers competitor intelligence"
  • "Create a customer success team for a SaaS product with a manager, 2 CSMs handling onboarding, and a support specialist for technical issues"
  • "I need a content marketing team: editor-in-chief who maintains brand voice, 2 writers for blog and social, and 1 SEO specialist"
Less Effective
  • "Make me a team" - Too vague, no context about purpose or structure
  • "5 agents" - No role differentiation or hierarchy
  • "Something for sales" - Unclear team size and structure

Tips for Best Results

Be Specific About Roles

Instead of "3 salespeople," say "1 sales manager, 2 SDRs." Clear role differentiation helps the AI configure appropriate tools and prompts.

Describe Responsibilities

Adding what each role does (e.g., "handles outreach") gives the AI context for system prompt generation.

Mention Industry Context

"B2B SaaS" or "e-commerce" helps the AI select relevant tools and terminology.

Iterate Incrementally

Start with a basic structure, then use "Add member" and "Rewire" to refine rather than starting over.
