Advanced Tools (MCP)
What is the Advanced Tools (MCP) feature?
Advanced Tools (MCP) is an experimental feature that allows Agent5ive to connect to external tool servers using the Model Context Protocol. This enables your agents to access and use tools from various services like Google Calendar, Gmail, GitHub, and more through Composio's MCP servers.
Is the MCP feature ready for production use?
The MCP feature is currently experimental and may have limitations or unexpected behaviors. We recommend testing it thoroughly in a development environment before using it in production. We're actively improving this feature based on user feedback.
How do I get started with MCP integration?
To get started with MCP integration:
- Visit the Composio dashboard at https://mcp.composio.dev/dashboard
- Create and configure an MCP server for your desired service
- Copy the MCP Server URL
- In Agent5ive, enable Advanced Tools (MCP) in the agent configuration
- Paste your MCP Server URL and validate the connection
